International Tax Socialization at the AOTCA General Meeting and International Tax Conferences 2023 at Hilton, Tokyo, Japan.
Tax is an important component as well as the largest source of income in every country, especially in Indonesia. In each country, taxes have their own rules and regulations in accordance with applicable regulations. In each country, the taxation system adopted is influenced by several factors including the philosophy of the nation and policies related to providing investment to certain sectors. In addition to the tax regulations in Indonesia, knowing the tax regulations in other countries can also help increase knowledge related to existing tax provisions. Taxes play a role in funding a wide range of publicly funded services such as the military, public education, infrastructure in the form of roads and parks, police and fire protection, and public pension and health programs. Therefore, in order to increase tax revenue, especially in Indonesia, taxpayers are required to understand the applicable tax provisions, so that there are no errors in fulfilling tax obligations. In order to improve the understanding of tax provisions both in Indonesia and in other countries, socialization is something that can be done to increase awareness related to the fulfillment of tax obligations.
