Demo Abstract: I4C. . . Improving I2C’s Dynamism and Efficiency
Originally designed by Philips to interconnect static configurations of chips on TV motherboards, I2C is now used in nearly every corner of electronics, from computers to phones to satellites. Some emerging applications, however, are more dynamic and distributed than I2C can support today, limiting its utility. This need has become even more pressing with the rise of modular systems, which lead to I2C component systems being frequently added and removed from the bus, necessitating a more dynamic I2C operation.
