Features of the logistics scheme for mining of deep-seated potash deposits with backfilling using salt wastes
The paper discusses a logistic system to move backfill materials in a deep underground mine, which is an alternative innovative solution based on application of the solid backfill technology using salt waste consolidation with dosing of a limited amount of brine into the backfill mixture within the limits of the water-yielding capacity. Complex mining and geological conditions are described and methods of addressing environmental and technological challenges arising during field development are proposed. The principles of organizing haulage and logistic scheme for the delivery of the backfill mixture are developed with account of the specific requirements for transportation to great depths. A version of the backfill technological scheme is provided for the Gremyachinskoe mining and processing complex. Introduction of the presented logistic system will make it possible to efficiently organize backfilling processes in deep underground mines when extracting potassium-magnesium salts. Based on the logistic principles of coordination and integration of modules, it simultaneously ensures the growth of the energy efficiency of technological processes and provision of the required strength, deformation and rheological properties to the backfill masses to ensure sustainable, ecologically balanced operation of the mining system with complete utilization of the generated salt waste in the mined-out space of the stopes.
