Analysis of the prospects to use peat-based soil conditioners for reclamation of disturbed lands (2)
A mine shovel as a mining machine works in severe operating conditions specific for each particular machine. When carrying out maintenance and repair work, it is necessary to take into account the operating conditions of the mining machine. The first articles in this series of publications present an assessment of the loads on the drives of the mine shovel's working attachments when mining the benches along linear excavation paths with the inclination angles of 60°, 70°, 80°. This article presents an analysis of the energy consumed by the hoisting and crowding drives during the mining cycle for the previously considered excavation paths, as well as an assessment of the loads and energy consumption for the combined radial-linear bucket paths when mining the bench. A summary table is presented featuring the operating values of the working attachment drives for the linear-inclined and radial-linear paths. The procedure for assessing the wear life rate is proposed, the use of which will allow adjusting the shovel’s maintenance and repair intervals depending on the conditions and nature of its operation.
