"Human Resource Management in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (Opportunities and Challenges)"

Purpose- This research aims to identify the challenges and opportunities that arise alongwith the use of AI technology in the context of human resource management, in the era ofdigital transformation, and the increasing use of AI to increase the efficiency and effectivenessof human resource management. Design/methodology/approach- This research uses a qualitative inductive approachwith descriptive methods. The research results show that the use of AI technology inhuman resource management achieves many opportunities, including influencing theefficiency and effectiveness of workforce management in a distinctive way, enhancing talentmanagement and discovery processes, and contributing to the decision-making processthat adopts individual patterns and behaviors at work. It enables managers to determine jobperformance and direct training and development plans. Findings –The implementation of AI in recruitment processes, performance management,and employee skill development can also increase productivity and provide in-depth dataanalysis. However, the research also identified several challenges, including the impact onjobs with lower job levels that require simple labor, resulting in lower levels of job belongingand job security, increased equipment maintenance costs, and the need for highly qualifiedprofessionals. Therefore, the research findings highlight the need for a comprehensiveapproach to addressing these challenges and turning them into opportunities, includingemployee engagement, investment in training, and collaboration with educational institutionsto achieve competitive human resource management in the age of AI technology.
