THE IMPACT OF RURAL POSTINGS ON MEDICAL STUDENTS- PERSPECTIVES ON PUBLIC HEALTH

Rural postings are an integral part of medical education, providing students with rst-hand exposure to public health challenges. This study evaluates the impact of rural postings on the perspectives of 140 medical students regarding public health issues. The ndings reveal increased awareness of health disparities, improved understanding of social determinants of health, and enhanced interest in rural healthcare. However, challenges such as inadequate infrastructure and resource limitations were also highlighted.
