Russian functional linguistics in China in 1980–2023

As an important component of world functional linguistics, Russian functional linguistics includes three typical schools: the theory of functional grammar by A.V. Bondarko (TFG), the theory of communicative grammar by G.A. Zolotova (TCG) and functional and communicative grammar by MV Vsevolodova (FCG). This article presents the history, status and prospects of TFG, TCG and FCG research in China from 1980 to 2023. The article uses such methods as synchronic and diachronic, as well as statistical and qualitative in order to comprehensively present the research of TFG, TCG and FCG in China.
