Components of vocational guidance of teacher’s work with pupils for admission to technical universities

The choice of a profession by a person is one of the most important choices in life. The problem of vocational guidance is one of the most topical for psychological and pedagogical research. Often, from the point of view of pedagogy, vocational guidance is defined as a set of evidence-based activities that are aimed at preparing pupils for choosing a profession. Both personality features and the socio-economic situation on the labor market are necessarily taken into account. Vocational guidance is based on three components: education, counseling and support. In the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution, post-industrial information society, digitalization of the economy and acceleration of the historical spiral, the number of modern components is increasing. Some researchers note digitalization as a separate component. It is necessary to harmoniously combine the traditional components of career guidance work with new, modern ones. It is important to choose such forms of organization of career guidance that lead to the unifi cation of key factors: school, university, employer. Local, one-time and unsystematic forms of organizing career guidance work must be excluded from work due to extremely low effi ciency and high labor intensity. An important aspect of vocational guidance is the opportunity to "apply" one from the set of professional roles. Today, information-resource and diagnostic approaches are relevant in the career guidance of schoolchildren, and efforts to implement the motivational approach are presented fragmentarily. In the beginning of career guidance of students, the main attention is paid to professional education and upbringing of high school pupils. Pedagogical assistance in choosing a profession for schoolchildren should be primarily practice-oriented. The aim will be to socially explain the importance of the fundamental right to free choice and the need to provide equal opportunities. In this case, education as a system begins to act as a necessary way to achieve this goal.
