MSDS — chemical product safety data sheet
Chemicals are widely used in various fi elds of activity, but their use is associated with risks associated with potential negative impact on human health and the environment. In order to minimize these risks and ensure safety, safety data sheets (SDS) have been developed that systematize information about chemicals, their properties, possible hazards, protective measures and actions in emergency situations. Documentation of this data is regulated by international and national standards, such as GOST 30333 in Russia and MSDS (SDS) in international practice. This paper discusses the differences between SDS according to GOST and MSDS, requirements for their design, classification of chemical products, principles of labeling, as well as the procedure for preparing these documents.
