Contribution to the floristic study of an area located in Mount Fellaoucen (Tlemcen, Algeria) and development of a reference epidermal library

The aim of this work is to carry out a floristic inventory of a station located in the Tlemcen mountains, in a semi-arid Mediterranean climate with temperate winters, at Mount Fellaoucene, and to develop a reference epidermal library. Given the importance of the altitude factor, we chose our study station, located in the Traras mountains, at an altitude of between 600 and 800 metres, in north-western Algeria. Analysis of the flora revealed the presence of 62 plant species belonging to 26 families. This floristic analysis highlights the predominance of therophytes, i.e. annual herbaceous plants. The reference epidermis library is presented in photo form in the “Results and discussion” section.
