Analisis Morfometrik Penyu Belimbing (Dermochelys coriacea) dan Kesesuaian Habitat Peneluran di Pantai Buggei Siata Desa Betumonga, Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai
Morphometrics, one of the distinguishing features between individuals or between populations. The morphometric study of leatherback turtles (Dermochelys coriacea) and the suitability of spawning habitat was carried out with the aim of looking at factors that affect hatching rates, partial correlations and simultaneous influences between the number of eggs, egg diameter and the length of incubation time on morphometrics. The research was carried out at Buggei Siata Beach, Betumonga Village, Mentawai Islands Regency in December 2021-June 2022. The research method was quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis to see the influence of independent variables with bound variables. The results of the study obtained the largest hatchlings with a Carapace Length (PKs) of 69.61 mm, Carapace Width (LKs) of 40.38 mm, Head Length (PK) of 34.4 6mm, Head Width (LK) of 23.16 mm, and Neck Length (PL) of 13.60 mm, Length of Front Arms (PLD) of 86.32 mm, Length of Back Arms (PLB) of 34.12mm and weight of 42 grams. While the smallest hatchlings have a Carapace Length (PKs) of 39.62 mm, Carapace Width (LKs) of 39.51 mm, Head Length (PK) of 19.61 mm, Head Width (LK) of 13.18 mm, and Neck Length (PL) of 7.74 mm, Length of Front Arms (PLD) of 49.13 mm, Length of Back Arms (PLB) of 19.43 mm with a weight of 39 grams. The results of the correlation analysis showed that the number of eggs in the nest did not have a morphometric correlation, on the contrary, the diameter of the eggs was strongly correlated with the length of the thickness; perfectly correlated with the width of the scab and moderately correlated with the weight of hatchlings with a Pearson Correlation (R) value of 0.74, and 0.88 and 0.55, respectively. Likewise, the length of the incubation period is strongly correlated with the length and width of the thickness; and perfectly correlated with the weight of hatchlings with R values of 0.79 and 0.65 and 0.83, respectively. Furthermore, a multiple linear regression statistical test was carried out to see the simultaneous influence of the independent variable of the number of eggs (X1), the number of eggs (X2) and the length of the incubation period (X3) on the bound variable. With a confidence level of 95%, ?=0.05 the results of the analysis showed that the influence of the independent variables on the length of the thickness, width of the stripper and weight of the hatchlings were (r = 0.804, t = 1.085, df = 15, p = 0.005); (r = 0.894, t = 2.571, df = 15, p = 0.000) and (r = 0.863, t = 2.732, df = 15, p = 0.001).
