Atyrau university library automation: enhancing efficiency and user experience

The article is devoted to the development of an automated information system for the university library. In the context of rapidly developing technologies and the growing need for effective information management, the creation of such a system is becoming a necessity. The goal of the project is to improve the efficiency of the library by automating key processes such as book accounting, organizing access to information, managing subscriber data and providing a user-friendly interface for users. To achieve this goal, an automated information system was developed to implement the following functions: accounting and systematization of the book fund, an electronic catalog, the ability to order and preview books online, automated management of subscriber data and control over the issuance of literature. In the development of this system, modern programming and database methods were used, as well as taking into account the needs and characteristics of a particular library and its users. As a result of the successful implementation of the project, it is expected that the efficiency of the library will increase, access to information will improve and user needs will be met.
