Exploring students' and teachers' perceptions towards handwriting and typing in assessment
University students of all majors learn communication skills, including writing, as part of their study program. They are expected to explain and elaborate on their thoughts in written form. Many technological inventions have been devised to improve the learning and teaching process and to help students effectively communicate their ideas in writing. In addition, several studies investigated the effect of different mediums (typing or handwriting) on students' writing skills. This paper aims to explore the preferred medium of writing assignments from both students' and teachers' perspectives.
