Tratando de hacer lo (im)posible. Estado del Self terapéutico y experiencias relacionales en psicoanálisis
This paper is a reflection on my growth as a psychotherapist. I share my relational experiences with some of my patients, trying to find a theoretical reading for the functioning of the patient's mind, the therapist's mind, and the meeting of minds in psychoanalytic therapy. I explore the idea of a therapeutic self-state to help me understand the deeper origins of my clinical responses and attitudes toward my patients. I conclude that transformation in psychoanalysis comes from emotional, therapeutic relational experience, not rational interpretation, and that the essence of clinical responses to patients comes from the psychotherapist's traumas.
