Current Issues of The Global Economy: Geopolitical and Economic Aspects of Assessing the Effectiveness of Development

The relevance of the study is due to the fact that in modern conditions many processes of geopolitical and economic nature are taking place in the world. In order to overcome the protracted global economic crisis of the 2020s with the least losses and gain competitive advantages at the exit from it, it is necessary to have a toolkit that provides the most accurate assessment of the eff ectiveness of global economic development. The purpose of the study is to develop a criterion for assessing the effectiveness of global economic development, taking into account the influence of modern geopolitical and economic aspects. The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the formation of a new integral criterion for assessing the effectiveness of global economic development. The practical value of the results obtained in the work lies in the fact that the proposed integral criterion for assessing the eff ectiveness of global economic development has been created for the fi rst time and takes into account the problems of global economic development in the modern post-industrial era. In this regard, the use of local criteria included in the developed integral criterion for assessing the effectiveness of global economic development makes it possible to determine the necessary management tools to resolve the problems of global economic development in the modern post-industrial era.
