THE PSYCHOLOGICAL CONNOTATIONS OF THE SURREAL VISION IN MUAYYAD MOHSEN’S DRAWINGS AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO IRAQI REALITY

The process of searching for psychological meanings through the drawings of the artist is one of the important methods that many psychologists have focused on.This process aims to understand the depths of the human psyche, reveal its strengths and weaknesses, and find appropriate solutions and treatments for abnormal behaviors, as well as to enhance positive aspects to strengthen the personality.The current research highlights the problem (What are the aspects of surrealist vision in the drawings of the artist Muayyad Mohsen, and is there a relationship between the psychological meanings represented in Muayyad Mohsen's drawings?).The research aims to reveal the psychological meanings of surrealist vision in the drawings of the artist Muayyad Mohsen and understand surrealist vision and its relationship to the Iraqi reality.The research includes four chapters: The first chapter includes the methodological framework of the research, which addresses the problem, importance, need, objective, scope, and definition of terms.The second chapter includes the theoretical framework of the research, which consists of four sections addressing historical references of surrealist thought, contemporary Iraqi art, creativity from the perspective of psychoanalytic school, and the specificity of the artist Muayyad Mohsen.The third chapter includes the research procedures, such as the research community, sample, rationale for choosing the purposive sample, analysis method, analysis tool, and research approach.The fourth chapter includes the research results and conclusions.
