Impact on Structural and Radiation Shielding Features of 60B2O3-20CdO-5Al2O3-(15-x) CaF2-xMoO3
Making use of the highly established and distinctive melt quenching process, we created specimens with the precise chemical formula 60B 2 O 3 –20CdO-5Al 2 O 3 -(15-x) CaF 2 -xMoO 3 (x = 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2). Fourier transform infrared radiation (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance, and radiation shielding techniques were used to explore the structural features and radiation-protective parameters. The examination of FTIR spectra identifies the altered Mo 6+ from Mo 5+ and the occupancy of distinct borate and aluminate structural units. According to the examination of Raman spectra, when an amount of MoO 3 rises, BO4 turn into BO3 units. The proportion of non-bridging Oxygen’s raises with growing content of BO3 units. The Phy-X/PSD program was utilised to simulate and collect radiation data in the energy interval from 0.015 to 15 MeV. MAC and LAC are observed to be decreased. As the amount of Calcium fluoride dropped, HVL and TVL rose. HVL and TVL had the smallest and greatest values, respectively, at 0.003 and 7.913 and 0.008 and 26.28 cm. The effective atomic number (Z eff ), it depends on density, because of the slight enhancement in density, a very slight raise in Z eff can be observed. With growth in photon energy parameters affects and reduces the mean free path.
