Vaccination in Pregnancy: Education Impact
This study aimed to examine the status of pregnant individuals who did not accept vaccination against COVID-19 after a program of education. The descriptive research was conducted between January and March 2022. Prior to receiving education about the COVID-19 vaccine, all the pregnant women stated that they were not considering vaccination. It was seen that 42.3% of the participants accepted the administration of the vaccine after the education about the COVID-19 vaccine. Since providing education to pregnant women who decline vaccination positively affects their attitudes towards vaccination, it is important to ensure evidence based, person-centred pre-vaccination education is available to every childbearing woman, person and family.
