A-18 | The Heart Wars: Analyzing Short-term Outcomes Following Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in Patients With Hfpef vs. Hfref
While coronary artery disease (CAD) is the leading cause of heart failure in the U.S., percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) remains underutilized in heart failure cases. As a less invasive revascularization technique and with recent advancements, PCI enables a more effective and complete revascularization, even in such high-risk patients. Our current study aims to understand the differences in outcomes among chronic heart failure patients(systolic vs diastolic) undergoing PCI following ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).
