E-7 | Short- and Long-Term Outcomes of SAVR vs. TAVR in Bicuspid Aortic Valve Patients: Insights from a Propensity Matched Cohort
Bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) is associated with aortic abnormalities and often affects younger patients, posing management challenges. The introduction of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) as a less invasive option compared to surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) has led to interest in its use for BAV. This study compares outcomes between TAVR and SAVR in this population.
