F-100 | AlphaVac F18-85 Thrombectomy Catheter for The Treatment of Pulmonary Embolism: A Single-Center Retrospective Observational Experience
diagnosis of PE treated with CDT, stratified into Non-obese, MHO, and MUHO groups.Baseline demographics and comorbidities were compared, and multivariable logistic regression models estimated adjusted odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs).Results: Among 17,435 patients included in the analysis, 66.7% were non-obese, 2.9% were categorized as MHO, and 30.4% as MUHO.The MUHO cohort exhibited a higher prevalence of metabolic and cardiovascular comorbidities.Compared to non-obese patients, the odds of inhospital mortality were significantly lower in the MUHO group (OR 0.61, 95% CI: 0.39-0.94).No significant difference in mortality was observed between MHO and non-obese patients (OR 1.15, 95% CI: 0.45-2.91).Additionally, when comparing MUHO to MHO, there was no statistically significant difference in mortality (OR 0.53, 95% CI: 0.20-1.42)[Table 1].Conclusions: Metabolic health influences in-hospital mortality in elderly PE patients treated with CDT.Mortality rates are paradoxically lower in the MUHO group than in non-obese patients.Further research is needed to clarify the mechanisms and guide targeted clinical strategies.
