E-91 | Comparing Safety and Efficacy of Single- versus Multi-Access Technique for Valve-in-Valve Transaortic Valve Replacement

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is indicated for patients with symptomatic severe aortic stenosis (AS) across the full gamut of surgical risk. Lifetime management of severe AS often necessitates valve-in-valve (ViV) TAVR, particularly for younger patients whose initial valve deteriorates over time. Efforts to further streamline subsequent ViV-TAVRs are thus necessary. A single-access (SA) technique via the femoral artery can be achieved with use of the Savvywire (Opsens Inc.), which facilitates valve delivery, deployment and subsequent hemodynamic assessment.
