Analysis of Drag Reduction Performance of Gas–Solid Interface of Blade Parts
Ball nose milling technology is widely used in the processing of precision parts in fields such as aviation, aerospace, and maritime, especially aviation blade parts with a certain curvature. Due to the influence of the selection of milling parameters and machining strategies, there are many types of surface topography after ball nose milling, and there are also differences in the hydrodynamic properties of blades with different topographies. In this work, the formation process of milling topography is analyzed, and the correspondence between milling parameters and the feature length of topography elements is established. According to the momentum integral equation, a frictional resistance model considering milling topography was established, and the drag reduction performance of different topographies was analyzed. The results show that the surface of the quadrilateral pit topography has significantly better drag reduction characteristics than the surface of the hexagonal pit topography, and the maximum drag reduction rate of the quadrilateral pit topography model is 9.97%. This processing strategy can effectively reduce the working resistance of aviation blades, and the results of this work can provide a theoretical basis and data guidance for the selection of processing parameters of aviation blades.
