Ammonia Synthesis
The essay rethinks the industrial infrastructures of ammonia synthesis and develops a notion of specific associated toxicities. Particular interest is put on the “openness” of this infrastructure. High pressure plant facilities only work as cleary defined, controlled environments. But the reactors and visible tubular structures of an ammonia plant only form the core of a technical structure which - if one chooses the right angle of analysis - puts all systemic spheres of the planet into communication.
