Toxic Infrastructures

This introduction to the Roadsides collection “Toxic Infrastructures” critically examines how infrastructures become vectors of harm in late industrialism. Situating infrastructural toxicity within political, economic, and material processes, the introduction argues that toxic infrastructures provide a unique lens through which to capture the workings and effects of late industrialism across scales and temporalities.
