Detection method of tubing coupling based on magnetic field induction

The inspection of tubing coupling is a key part to ensure the safety of snub-bing operation, To realize the accurate identification of tubing and coupling, Studied a magnetic detection method, Accurate identification of coupling by capturing the difference in magnetic field strength between the surface of the oil pipe and the coupling, This paper uses COMSOL software to establish a finite element simulation model of the pipe coupling detection device. Through simu-lation calculations, the effects of the spacing between magnetic materials, per-manent magnet strength, pipe eccentricity, and coupling defects on the detec-tion per-formance are studied. The influence patterns of different factors on the detec-tion results are obtained, and finally, experiments are conducted to verify the feasibility of the method.
