SIGNIFICANCE OF INTERNAL ELEMENT IN MANAGING ENTROPY AND ENHANCING THERMAL TRANSPORT MECHANISM IN NOVEL DESIGN OF CAVITY WITH PERMEABILITY AND MHD ASPECTS

Installation of an element in a confined domain to manage heat and entropy minimization has been considered as an effective strategy. Various promising applications of flow and thermal transport mechanisms in a chamber in the presence of an object has been found in solar collectors, instrument cooling, architectural design, aerosol systems, electrical systems, and many other large-scale processes. Therefore, the current research explicates flow and thermal characteristics of viscous fluid saturated in an innovatively designed confined structure (tooth cavity) with a hot cylinder. Porosity aspects are also considered in the context of the Brinkmann-Forchheimer model, and the physical influence of an inclining magnetic field on system thermodynamic properties is also described. Formulation of problem configuration of the domain and physical factors is attained in the dimensional form. Self-similar variables are necessary for the conversion of developed partial differential equations into dimensionless format. Characteristics of the flow problem are determined by using finite element-based commercial software (COMSOL). Before discussing the findings, validation of results in a restricted sense by confirming agreement with previous studies is described. Grid independence is also performed to ensure nonreliability of results on mesh variations. Deviation in thermophysical characteristics is given through stream patterns, isotherm contours versus flow that contribute parameters in a comparative manner in the presence or absence of a (heated, cold, adiabatic) cylinder or in the absence. Nusselt number calculations are used to assess convective heat transport across barriers, and total entropy is computed to observe the irreversibility phenomena brought on by buoyancy changes.
