The methanolic extract of <i>I. muricata</i> exhibited the highest values of radical scavenging activity in various methods by DPPH, hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity, and NO scavenging activity when compared to standard. It was also discovered that the leaves of this plant are rich in phenolic and flavonoid compounds.
