EVENT TOURISM DESTINATIONS IN THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF TURKESTAN

The purpose of the study is to examine the directions of sustainable tourism in foreign countries with a developed tourism industry, to determine the types of adventure tourism and to identify forms of tourism that contribute to the development of the city of Turkestan. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of foreign experience in the field of event tourism and the possibilities of its application in Turkestan. The results of the study consist in identifying priority areas for the development of event tourism and the main trends in its distribution in Turkestan. The study concluded that the development of event tourism helps to attract tourists to the region. Regular thematic events in the spiritual, historical and cultural complexes of the city can form a sustainable tourist tradition that reflects the national flavor and strengthens the image of Turkestan.
