Enabling Real-Time User Behavior and System Health Analytics for Indie Developers
Modern applications can be deployed across vast user bases, generating extensive data that enable the use of analytics to significantly enhance products and drive research. However, small developer studios often encounter obstacles, such as implementation challenges and high costs of industry-standard solutions. Consequently, they are unable to fully leverage data analytics for product monitoring and error detection. This work-in-progress project aims to address these challenges by developing a simple, affordable, and low-maintenance analytics solution for real-time insight into user behavior and system health for middle-sized applications. The system is designed to allow stakeholders to access data from anywhere, including mobile, web, PC, smart-watches, and other devices. The proposed system is designed to be adaptable to any tech stack, enabling smaller studios to easily collect, analyse, and leverage user data for continuous product improvement. By reducing the complexity and cost of integrating real-time analytics into production environments, this solution seeks to enable data-driven product development for indie developers.
