Accurate Modeling of LLC Resonant Converters with Enhanced Analytical Approach Considering Parasitic Capacitance
This study introduces a novel analytical model designed to improve the accuracy of key parameter predictions in LLC resonant converters. The model addresses limitations in existing approaches that often lose accuracy with varying frequencies and load conditions and do not account for parasitic capacitance. By incorporating the parasitic capacitance of power devices, the model more accurately predicts current and voltage waveforms, voltage gain, and the necessary deadtime for achieving soft switching. Validation through simulations across various operating conditions shows a significant improvement in prediction accuracy, reducing errors in gain prediction and ZVS deadtime calculation. This improved accuracy has the potential to lead to more efficient and reliable LLC converter designs.
