Single-Phase Open-Circuit Fault-Tolerant Control of Three-Phase PMSM Drives

This paper proposes a Fault-tolerant control method for a standard three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) under a single-phase open-circuit fault condition. The method for driving a three-phase PMSM from a standstill using a three-leg, two-level inverter configuration is proposed. Experimental results show that 65% of the motor’s rated speed and 50% of its rated torque maintains.

Abstract

The method for driving a three-phase PMSM from a standstill using a three-leg, two-level inverter configuration is proposed. Experimental results show that 65% of the motor’s rated speed and 50% of its rated torque maintains.
