Jogos Digitais e Educação Matemática: o que vem sendo produzido atualmente?

This study is a literature review aimed at investigating the research produced on digital games in Education, specifically in Mathematics Education, in recent years. To achieve this, we used the digital journal repository of the “Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior” (Capes). After entering the descriptor “jogos digitais na educação matemática” between 2005 and 2024, we obtained a significant number of results, which justified focusing on recent articles from the last two years. Thus, fifteen articles were selected, classified, and organized into four analytical axes: digital game creation, digital game evaluation, digital game analysis, and digital game mapping for mathematics teaching. In this context, we analyzed and concluded that: regarding creation Scratch has been consolidated as the most chosen option, but research involving connections between mathematics, robotics, and other technological possibilities is also present; regarding evaluation it has been shown that teachers remain in education and continue to seek new possibilities for Mathematics classrooms; and finally, regarding analysis it has been verified that students must have contact with these new possibilities of digital games and understand the impact they generate.

Abstract

This study is a literature review aimed at investigating the research produced on digital games in Education, specifically in Mathematics Education, in recent years. To achieve this, we used the digital journal repository of the “Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior” (Capes). After entering the descriptor “jogos digitais na educação matemática” between 2005 and 2024, we obtained a significant number of results, which justified focusing on recent articles from the last two years.
