OR1-20 | Sex and Operator Role based Differences in Ergonomic Risks to Catheterization Laboratory Operators: Insights from the Prospective ERGO-CATH Study

the contralateral bronchus in the axial or sagittal plane at the same level.Bronchoscopy confirmed the diagnosis in selected cases. Results: There were 205 patients identified, 149 of whom met the inclusion criteria.Demographics for the cohort included 96 (64%) male gender, median age at the time of first CoA intervention was 17 days (IQR 8, 114), and 27 had single ventricle palliation.Ninety-two patients underwent surgical repair only, 13 had SI only, 38 had surgery followed by TI and 6 had TI then surgery.Patients who underwent surgical repair were younger [median age 15 days (IQR 8, 51.3)] than those undergoing TI [median age 1492 days (IQR 835, 2040.5)].BC was observed in 39/ 149 (26%) patients at a median age of 231 days (IQR 89, 1002).Eleven of the thirty-one patients (35%) with SI as the final intervention developed BC, with 8 occurring at the level of the stent. In contrast, 28/118 (24%) of surgical patients developed BC (p 0.185).BC was present in 10 patients prior to any procedure, 7 of which were attributed to poststenotic dilation. Two patients required intervention for BC (5%): bronchial stent placement in 1 and CoA stent removal and ascending to descending aorta graft implant in the other. Conclusions: This study reveals an increased incidence of BC in patients with CoA that can be exacerbated by intervention. While most patients with BC did not require intervention, pre-and post-procedural monitoring for BC is recommended to ensure timely diagnosis and management.
