Laser Vitrification Processing of Thermally Sprayed Enamel Coatings
Abstract This paper proposes a new procedure for preparing enameled steels by thermal spraying the ceramic enamel followed by laser sintering and vitrification to obtain a smooth, corrosion-resistant, and anti-fouling coating. This study investigated the influence of enamel formulation, spraying methods, and laser parameters on the coating properties and characteristics, including microstructure, topography, phase composition, mechanical stability, and laser vitrification.
