30 лет торгово-экономического сотрудничества между Китаем и странами Центральной Азии: достижения и перспективы

The article analyzes the history of thirty years of experience in trade and economic cooperation between China and the Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan). China was one of the first to establish diplomatic and trade relations with the five neighboring Central Asian countries and, thanks to effective interaction mechanisms, this cooperation is actively developing. The author identifies three stages in the development of trade and investment cooperation between China and the Central Asian countries. The first stage, which began with the independence of the five Central Asian states, lasted until 2000. The second stage included a period of rapid growth in trade and investment between these countries under the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2001–2012. In the third stage, from 2013 to the present, trade and investment cooperation between China and the Central Asian countries has gone through a period of adjustment, aimed at improving the quality and effectiveness of interactions. A key area of cooperation is the "Belt and Road Initiative", which has laid a solid political foundation for the expansion of relations. China and Central Asian countries continue to build a closer China-Central Asia community of shared destiny with promising prospects.
