The extra observational appearances of an asymmetric thin-shell wormhole by considering the torsion and charge effect

In this paper, we investigate observational appearances of an asymmetric thin-shell wormhole with the torsion, where the two spacetime regions of this wormhole is constructed by using the cut-and-paste method. In particular, we analyze the effective potentials and null geodesic behaviors, and further establish how photon trajectories depend on the impact parameter. Focusing on scenarios where a thin accretion disk serves as the light source, it finds that the asymmetric thin-shell wormhole with the torsion exhibit observational appearances notably different from the black hole. Specifically, the increase of the torsion leads to a contraction of extra photon rings and lensing bands toward the shadow center. Certainly, since the parameter A can take negative values, its effect is still different from that of the charge. For instance, the wormhole scenario with the torsion [Formula: see text] exhibits a brighter halo, a feature not present in the R-N wormhole. These unique optical features provide potential observational signatures to distinguish asymmetric thin-shell wormholes from black holes, offering new insights into the role of the torsion in gravitational physics.
