The Design of SM4 Algorithm Based on FPGA and Its Teaching Application
This study explores the application of ‘FPGA-based SM4 State Secure Cryptographic Algorithm Design’ to the teaching of the general elective course of Intelligent Electronics and Information Technology to achieve the teaching goal of combining theory and practice. The course design can not only help undergraduates master FPGA development skills such as FPGA development process, pipeline and state machine design, but also deeply understand the principle and hardware implementation of national security cryptographic algorithms. Through modular teaching methods and project practice, students are taught how to analyse resource consumption and optimise design solutions, while building national security awareness. This teaching case aims to improve students' hardware design ability and innovative thinking, as well as enhance their sense of social responsibility in the field of information security. It is hoped that this study provides an effective example of combining national security awareness and engineering practice for general education in engineering.
