A Study on the Integration of AIGC Technology into Project-Based Learning in Animation

As artificial intelligence technologies developed, it has integrated with the majority of creative industries. Educators and students in animation are confronted with challenges and opportunities as a result of the adoption of Artificial Intelligence Generated Content(AIGC) tools. In light of recent developments, this research examines how AIGC technology can be utilized for teaching animation via projects-based learning (PBL). Besides, this research aims to investigate the improvement of students’ creativity, independent learning and collaboration skills to meet the demand of animation industries. Therefore, a survey was conducted among students who participate in PBL course, which includes key areas such as project design, project implementation, project evaluation, and learning outcomes. With the use of Likert-scale questionnaires, this research obtain quantitative information. The results indicate that AIGC markedly improve student's the efficiency and quality of their output while it still has challenges in providing plentiful digital resource and optimizing of project design. Additionally, students shows enhancements in creativity and technical skills, although gaps arose in access to resources for independent learning. In the end, the report culminates with practical recommendations on how to incorporate more AIGC technology into animation instruction, highlighting the requirement for enhanced instructional resources and more explicit evaluation criteria.
