PERANCANGAN APLIKASI MOBILE FINDIT SISTEM AUGMENTED REALITY SEBAGAI SELF-CIRCULATION KOLEKSI PERPUSTAKAAN MENGGUNAKAN OBJECT ORIENTED ANALYSIS AND DESIGN

The decline in library patronage is often attributed to patrons' difficulties in locating collections independently (Self-Circulation), even with the availability of OPACs. Anxiety and inefficiency in searching for shelf locations are common issues. This study aims to design the FindIt mobile application, leveraging Augmented Reality (AR) technology as a Self-Circulation system to simplify and accelerate the process of finding and returning library collections. The design methodology employed is Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) using the Unified Modelling Language (UML), beginning with observations at the UPT Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, followed by requirements analysis, the design of use case, activity, and sequence diagrams, and the creation of a high-fidelity prototype. The design outcome includes the FindIt system architecture featuring core functionalities: login, book search, AR navigation guidance to shelf locations for item retrieval, and an AR-assisted self-return process. This proposed FindIt system offers an innovative solution to enhance the patron experience, reduce search-related anxiety, and streamline self-service library circulation through interactive AR technology.
