Widely Varying Grade Distributions in Courses Taught by Different Instructors
In the mechanical engineering (ME) program at our institution, a grade of C-or better in all math, science, and engineering courses is considered passing, while D, F, and W (withdrawal) are nonpassing grades. All required engineering courses for the BS-ME degree program are offered during the fall and spring semesters, with multiple sections available for most courses.Additionally, some high-demand courses are offered during the 10-week summer session, allowing students to catch up on missing prerequisites.
