Elemental Profile of Some Medicinal Plants from Western Ghats

The present paper deals with the determination of 11 elements in seven medicinally important plants collected from Western Ghats of Maharashtra using ICP-OES technique. The concentration of these elements in these plants showed following order: Ca > Si > Mg > Na > P > Fe > Al > B > Zn > Mn > Cu Bioavailability of above elements was also estimated using in-vitro technique. The report also covers statistical analysis of the data obtained.
