THE SТEAM CLIL PROJECT IN EDUCATION: AN EXAMPLE OF TRAINING STUDENTS IN ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL FIELDS
The STEAM CLIL project is one of the innovative approaches to learning that combines elements of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) and CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methods. As a result of the effective implementation of this project in teaching physics, students are able to integrate knowledge in other natural sciences of physics, using English as a means of teaching and communication. The purpose of this study is to identify the features of teaching physics in English in the development of engineering and technical fields. In addition, it is the effective implementation of the STEAM CLIL project in the study of physics in accordance with educational programs belonging to engineering and technical fields. In the course of the study, theoretical and empirical methods were used, in particular, methods of systematic analysis, pedagogical modeling. In the organization of the pedagogical experiment, survey, control methods were implemented. As a result of the study, the mechanism for using the STEAM CLIL project in teaching physics was determined. The features of mastering physics in English for students in engineering and technical fields were revealed. In addition, the article provides examples and recommendations according to the STEAM CLIL project. According to the results of the survey and control work, the effectiveness of the implementation of the STEAM CLIL project is analyzed. The results obtained in the course of the study are recommended to be used in teaching physics in institutions of secondary and higher education, as well as in institutes for advanced training of physics teachers. This is due to the fact that the results obtained are of practical importance – they contribute to the development of the country's scientific and technical sphere.
