WATTY - A Water Surveillance and Cleaning Robot
This paper presents an innovative water surveillance and cleaning system aimed at surveying the water quality in urban water bodies. A real time monitoring and autonomous cleaning mechanism system is developed for water pollution. The surveillance component is a network of sensors to continuously monitor different water quality parameters. The cleaning mechanism features an autonomous mechanism machine with conveyer belt equipped to the surface vehicle in order to remove floating waste. Experimental results from field deployments in several urban lakes demonstrate the system's capability to maintain and monitor water quality within safe thresholds. Water surveillance and cleaning system help into reducing the day to day pollution level, offering an effective solution for urban water management. This system represents a milestone in automated environmental control for the health of aquatic animals, offering a clear and sustainable option for system maintenance.
