The Act
This piece employs colorful, fluid motifs from Klimt’s style and rigid organization to contrast order and chaos. This is done to display the guilt of the two people in the photo, having been caught in the middle of something. Their energetic and frantic energy is at odds with the ordered structure of the piece, making them feel confined or even trapped in a liminal space as there is no defined background.
