ERR Framework – Instructional Design Focused on Developing Critical Thinking
The E-R-R model (Evocation - Realization of meaning - Reflection) allows a reconfiguration of the classic lesson design, based on the principles formulated within the constructivist theories of learning, according to which learning means assimilating new concepts and integrating them into the individual's cognitive system. Such an approach changes the classic paradigm of teacher-centered education, putting the student, with his particularities, in the center of the learning process. It is thus involved in an active, experiential learning path that generates the development of metacognitive processes and critical thinking.
