DYNAMISM AND STABILITY OF THE CRIMINAL LAW

The problem of the dynamics of the development of the criminal legislation of the Russian Federation is considered through the prism of the interrelation of two sides of this process – dynamism and stability of development. The analysis is based on a theoretical understanding of the essence of the dialectical unity of dynamics and stability as applied to the specifics of criminal legislation as a social phenomenon. The purpose of the study is to describe the process of development of domestic criminal legislation in terms of its dynamic characteristics and identify the causes of this dynamics. The main research methods are formal-legal and systematic in their dialectical unity. The results of the study allow us to present a set of determinative relationships between the dynamics and stability of Russian criminal legislation.
