Abstract

In the Philippines, the manufacturing industry is one of the most essential sectors for long-term employee productivity engagement that can significantly add value to economic growth and the advancement of emerging innovative technology. Requiring to work in the manufacturing industry entails having considerable pay, ensuring the quality of work and accuracy, strong skills, training, and expertise to have quality products by strengthening production efficiency and satisfactory output that can contribute to positive operational performance and satisfy the customer's demands. Job satisfaction and employee tenure will take part in achieving positive quality output. This research pursues to determine whether age, marital status, the nine facets of job satisfaction and employee tenure can contribute to strengthening the production efficiency and operational performance in a manufacturing industry. The quantitative method utilizing survey questionnaires, and SEM analysis using SmartPLS was used to gain a deeper comprehension of the interrelationship of job satisfaction and employee tenure that can be used as a basis for leveraging to strengthen production efficiency and operational performance in the manufacturing industry. The final SEM analysis indicates that factors such as pay, career development, leadership, benefits, rewards, procedures, company culture, work-life balance, and communication significantly influence job satisfaction and employee tenure, thus enhancing production efficiency and operational performance in the manufacturing industry. However, age and marital status do not significantly impact job satisfaction and tenure, once an employee is dissatisfied with their work, they are likely to seek better opportunities.
