Exploring Selfishness in Richard Matheson’s Button, Button
Norma, the protagonist of Richard Matheson's short novel "Button, Button," is the focus of the current research. The study explores the most self-centred ideas that drove Norma to carry out this horrible act. As the study accurately describes and interprets the indications made by the storey's key characters, it falls under the qualitative research category. For the present study, primary and secondary data sources are used. Books, periodicals, magazines, and non-printed internet sources were secondary sources, while the short story was the primary source of information. The description approach was utilised to gather, aggregate, analyse, and finally present the data.
