Pelatihan Memahami Huruf Hijaiyyah Menggunakan Card Sort Bagi Anak-Anak TPQ di Masjid Bustanul Abidin Desa Palkun Bengkalis Riau

One method that helps in reading and writing the Koran is the Card Sort method. The Card Sort method is a method that uses various cards which will later be filled with hijaiyyah letters along with the rows of letters. This is done because some TPQ children often forget and are less able to write the hijaiyah letters that have been taught, and they feel bored and fed up with learning using reading books so that some TPQ children like to walk, like to chat, draw which is not in accordance with learning to read and write the Koran. This training aims to improve BTQ understanding skills for TPQ children at the Bustanul Abidin Mosque, Palkun Bengkalis village. The implementation of this training uses a qualitative method with a PAR (Participatory Action Research) approach and uses three main pillars, namely research methodology, action dimensions, and participation dimensions. As a result of implementing the Card Sort method, children can more easily understand and remember each hijaiyah letter along with its reading line and are able to write and pronounce each hijaiyah letter that has been explained. Apart from that, TPQ children are more enthusiastic and active in the learning process of reading and writing the Al-Qur'an, because the hijaiyah card media used is very interesting and different from using reading books. The implication of this training for society, especially Islamic education, is to increase religious spirituality among society in Islamic religious education.
